What did you do before your role at Noosa Confidential?
I have always had a love and passion for food and healthy living, which naturally led me to study nutrition at university. I have spent time in Fiji educating locals about healthy foods to reduce rates of diabetes. When I heard about Noosa Confidential I was automatically drawn to the holistic and integrated nature of the business.
Why do you choose to work at Noosa Confidential?
The integrated and holistic approach that is Noosa Confidential, was a major draw card for me. I love being part of a strong and professional team working in unison towards a similar goal for each individual client.
I am passionate about health and wellbeing, and feel privileged to be able to share my knowledge with others. My goal is to empower individuals to take control of their own health and wellbeing, develop a love and passion for food, and provide cooking skills to use in everyday life. To have the ability to positively impact another person’s health and wellbeing is extremely fulfilling.
What does a general day look like in your work?
My days consist of education about food and nutrition, specific to individuals needs. I also use practical application with clients, such as teaching basic cooking skills and preparing nutritious meals. I present gut workshops whereby clients learn about gut health and the microbiome, we also make healing foods such as ferments and bone broths. Weekends with clients consist of the organic markets, followed by a group cook up aimed at having fun in the kitchen! In the final week of program clients will go shopping where they will learn which products to buy and how to read nutrition labels.
Why are you most proud to do the work you do?
Being able to positively impact others by empowering them to take control of their future health.
