Case Study: "Johnny" from Australia

Introduction

Client attended for a short residential immersion period followed by a non residential program while he stayed locally, plus another month of comprehensive aftercare.

During residential we emphasised the importance of application of all aspects of the program, from gut protocol to therapy and exercise. Client was very pro-active and engaged.

Symptoms

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Food Intolerances
  • Gut Health Issues
  • Irritable Bowel Disease

What we did

Psychological therapeutic focus was family dynamics, finding a voice within a volatile family environment, exploring and addressing why panic attacks presented when required to speak up at work. Use of visual aids was key to retaining information and learning to identify and express grief and anger.
NC Gut protocol applied, including two broth fasting days during residential stay and multiple Food as Medicine and Naturopathy sessions to teach the client how to self care and continue the protocol on his own.
Client wanted to compete in a half marathon so exercise physiology assessment and client centred program started this process.
